Description: We will explore (Virtually by Zoom) the Pocket (Shirley Miller Wildflower Trail) at Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA, a glorious example of a Cumberland Plateau mesic forest featuring some of the spring’s most beautiful and interesting wildflowers, such as Mertensia virginica (Virginia bluebells), Stylophorum diphyllum (Celandine Poppy), Erigenia bulbosa (Harbinger-of-Spring), several trillium species plus many more rare and interesting species if wildflowers, trees and shrubs. We will also view plants on the eastern side of the mountain (Blue Hole Road) such as Jeffersonia diphylla (Twinleaf), Hydrastis canadensis (Golden Seal), Cardamine dissecta (Dissected Toothwort), Trillium lancifolium (Lanceleaf Trillium) and more.

Location & Directions: No driving, just park in front of your computer.
