Description:   We will explore a small forest of white pine to see 150+ Large Whorled Pogonia. We will also see Pink Lady Slippers and Catesby’s trillium.  After wards we will drive to Hambidge Cove to walk the wildflower trail.  At Hambidge Cove,  walking sticks are helpful.

Meet At:   The parking lot of Clayton Ingles Grocery Store on highway 441. We will gather on the left side of the parking lot. We will drive 7 miles to Germany Valley.

Bathroom Facilities:   None after Ingles.

Walking Difficulty:   This hike is easy to moderate.

Bring:   Lunch, snacks, & water.  Remember to dress for the weather and wear comfortable hiking shoes.
