Vickery Creek Rhododendron Hike

Vickery Creek Unit Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area
Join the Friends of the Chattahoochee River (FCR) and Naturalist Jerry Hightower for a great loop hike through the Oak Hickory ridge forest and the Rhododendron/Mountain Laurel thickets on the steep slopes above Vickery Creek. We will make a side trail down to the creek and the old mill dam which now creates a beautiful waterfall.
We will meet in the parking lot on Riverside Drive at 10:00 a.m. This hike is moderately strenuous. Bring your lunch and we will picnic in the forest.
