We had a nice contingent of folks, both BotSoccers and others and great weather for a very rewarding afternoon of vanquishing evil weeds using our hands and all manner of implements of destruction.  We made headway (can't really say cleared as this was just another step in the process) on removing privet and Japanese honeysuckle from a floodplain area along South River that will be replanted with natives and then turned our attention to knocking back chickweed, ground ivy, and more privet from around the young leaves of the yellow fumewort (Corydalis flavula) in a nearby an area.   Jim Allison was there to make sure we stayed focused and targeted the correct plants.

We may have more opportunities for similar productive work in the future, so I hope to see you on the battlefield then.
