Please help us at a volunteer workday Saturday, March 6, 2010, 9:45 am-12 noon, Once a Year Opportunity; Raindate: March 13
Reynolds Nature Preserve continues to be threatened by invasive exotic plants such as kudzu, privet and English Ivy. If we wish Reynolds Nature Preserve to have a future as a preserve and a native plant area, these invasive foreign plants need to be controlled!
If you visit Reynolds before this date, ask staff to tell you about the invasives there and their work in trying to control them. If you have questions about the workday, call Reynolds Nature Center at 770-603-4188 or email one of us, addresses at top of the page. Please call or email to register for the workday (or join us last minute without registering if you find you are able to come Saturday morning).
We will meet at the Nature Center at 9:45 am for instructions, from where we will leave to pull ivy and privet from selected areas of the preserve. please wear long pants and long sleeves as protection from briars and the limited poison ivy… please bring work gloves and clippers if you have them!
