November Privet Pulls at Gainesville College
Member Deloris Smith, BotSoc is co-chairing a privet pull on 4 Saturdays in November at Gainesville College to make the Gainesville College Nature Trail Privet Free and also make the school a "Tree Campus USA". The group will meet at 10:00 each Saturday behind the Tennis Courts at Gainesville College (where the nature trail is located). Volunteers need to wear gloves and bring drinking water and pruners. We will be spraying the cut privet to reduce re-sprouting. The total area is about an acre along the trail. We will start at 10:00 with a safety talk and then get to work.
