June 10, 2009:  7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Summer Sunset Speaker Series

Park Ranger Jerry Hightower, the award winning, nationally recognized naturalist, will send chills up your spine as he talks about the Snakes of the Chattahoochee. Join Jerry at the Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center, 8615 Barnwell Rd. Alpharetta, Georgia.

Learn about these extraordinary and beautiful creatures as Jerry shares personal experiences and a wealth of information gained from nearly a half century of investigating the fields, forests, streams, and swamps of our Chattahoochee River Corridor. Fascinating facts and fables about the snakes you find in the Park and your own backyard; as well as the live snakes, make this a very special program for the entire family. Live snakes courtesy of the Chattahoochee Nature Center. The program is free but registration is required. To register or for more information please call 678-538-1200.
