Wednesday; June 6, 2009
2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Description: Enjoy summer wildflowers, wildlife, and learn more of the area’s natural and cultural history by joining the National Park Service for a leisurely hike along this fairly level trail, which passes by several types of important river bottomland wetlands and returns along the river. This area is a designated National Wildlife Viewing Area. It’s hard to imagine this area under cultivation. Yet that was the case for perhaps centuries. Today we view mostly the marvels of nature.
