Today's sunny weather brought out lots of wildflowers in bloom on the Trout Lily Trail off Akers Drive. A couple dozen bloodroot in fine form, and a fine specimen each of toothwort, giant chickweed, and toadshade trillium, with lots more to follow. And oh yeah - hundreds of blooming trout lilies, most of which are along the river trail just beyond the end of the trout lily loop. By the way, the huge blowdowns at this location have just been removed. Thanks, Park!
