If anyone is interested, I have my field notes available as a PDF file for the great hike Maureen Donohue led on Friday, January 30 in the East Palisades section of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. The only flowers we saw were two invasives, but there was plenty to explore. I have notes on a little debate with Steve Bowling on the frequency of fire in the Piedmont, and as always with my notes, a good bit of geology since this location is the boundary of the Brevard Fault zone and the "normal" rock of the Piedmont.
