Description: Explore the Brevard Fault and the landscape that formed about it by erosion of the Chattahoochee River. Hillsides full of gorge rhododendron, massive rock outcrops and beautiful woods make this a wonderful wander. Depending upon the weather and the group, this could include a side trip to the giant bamboo forest.

Directions: From I-75 north take Exit 256, Mt. Paran Road. Turn left on Harris Trail. Turn left on Whitewater Creek Road to the Whitewater Creek Parking Lot entrance on the right.
From I-75 south, take Exit 258, Cumberland Boulevard to US 41 and turn left. Turn left on Mt. Paran Road. Turn left on Harris Trail. Turn left on Whitewater Creek Road to the Whitewater Creek Parking Lot entrance on the right.

Walking: 4 to a maximum of 5 miles with short ups and downs that can be strenuous.

Lunch: bring to eat on trail

Fee: Federal park pass required or purchase daily pass for $5 with exact cash on site, no fee machine here.
